Laid my Enfield over aas I was coming into work. Surprisingly little damage to me or the bike, although my ribs hurt. Maybe cracked, dunno yet. My jacket is a bit scuffed up tho.

into every motorcycle a little fall must happen. Its a rule. The little damage to self and bike outcome is much desired over other possible outcomes. How'd it happen?

Came into the parking lot a bit too hot and tried to bank smoothly into my space. Too much speed and too little experience.

yup, that'll do it. so you low sided at relatively low speed? That's what they call a learning experience ;) If you and the bike got out of it with only cosmetic damage then it was a good crash.

parking lot speed? eh, you''ll be fine. I'd be more worried about broken signals on the bike
this one happened to my at 60-70K's an hour. Went to take a right hand turn (before I realized it was flat) and almost died. Brown pants moment for sure. ESP as thats my dads bike

Yep. I checked my gear and it would have been significantly worse had I not had it. I'd be missing most of my arm skin for sure.

signals are actually ok, my bar end mirror and footpeg took the brunt of it, and I feel pretty alright, although my right side aches.

Yikes, a flat is one of the things that really scares me on a bike.

No helmet taps I am hoping? Remember if you even drop it, you should replace it.

There is a scrape on it at the top of the visor itself...nothing on the actual helmet. I didn't feel it hit the ground, so I dunno for sure. Prolly will replace it anyway, just to be safe. Will post some pics when I get home from work to get ya'lls thoughts

if you didn't smack you are probably ok. Better safe than sorry, however. I have enough brain damage from my youth that I don't need to risk it anymore than I need to. Drooling and babbling nonsense is something I do naturally, I don't need help.

Truth.

I had a similar experience in my early riding days, but no jacket. I kept all my weight on the bike and the bars. I still ended up with a little bit of hair and skin missing on my forearm. I got a jacket after that.
I was going around a speed bump, goosed it a tad, and happened to have the tire over an oil spot from people backing into the parking space. I didn't even have time to blink and the bike was on the ground.

Certainly happened fast. I felt the peg scrape and was then picking myself up

Glad you and the bike are OK. Little stuff like that keeps you aware that you are mortal

Yeah, it's a good reminder to not get complacent.

I nearly ate it the other day. I was in a tight-uphill right hander and hit a small patch of sand halfway through the corner. I could feel the tail slide probably about 6 -12 inches. I honestly (just a guess really) think the cold temperature (about 45 degrees) paired with a pirelli diablo's not having a lot of grip in cooler weather prevented me from getting a nasty high-side when it snapped back too.

I can very well imagine the pain that would cause :(
